Accessibility Statement

The Celestial Homebody is committed to making this shop usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or rely on magnification, zoom or high contrast settings.

Conformance status

This shop has been assessed against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Following a full audit and remediation completed in October 2026, the shop substantially conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

What has been done

  • Every page type was tested both with automated tooling and by hand, including screen reader testing with NVDA, keyboard only navigation, color contrast measurement, and testing at 200 percent zoom and at a 320 pixel viewport width.
  • Text and interface colors across the shop were corrected so that body text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 and large text at least 3 to 1.
  • Headings were given a correct structure on every page type, so that people using a screen reader can move through a page by heading.
  • Images that carry information were given text descriptions, and images that are purely decorative were marked so that screen readers pass over them.
  • Links and buttons were given clear names, duplicate links were taken out of the keyboard path, and the home page slideshow was made reachable by keyboard.
  • Form fields in the search, newsletter and contact forms were given labels that are correctly associated with their field.

Technical specifications

Accessibility of this shop relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA. It is tested in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, together with the NVDA screen reader.

Known limitations

Some parts of the shopping experience are provided by Shopify itself and by third party applications, including the checkout, the customer account pages, and the reviews and social feeds. These sit outside the shop theme. Where one of them falls short, we raise it with the provider and look for an accessible alternative.
